Woohoo, I finished the pic!
When I was colouring, I was going to fill in the flat colours so that when I shaded it I could just use "preserve transparency" and not worry about colouring outside the lines, except when I was done, I didn't really feel like shading it anymore.
So I just lay a gradient on top.

I had to do this assignment where I had to make a map of sorts, so I decided to do... the Court of the Air. From the book The Court of the Air. I took it out again because I forgot the place names (Middlesteel and Grimhope, it turned out), and flipping through it kinda made me want to read it again. Maybe later.

And of course, all that rambling was somehow supposed to lead into the fact that I sketched out a pic of Nathanial and Oliver. I can't remember what Oliver was. The line of Defense?
